A fatal crash occurred on US 385, involving a 30-year-old man. The Texas Department of Public Safety reported that the man, Francisco Roque Benitez, was driving a GMC Denali when the vehicle crashed. He was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the vehicle. The crash is still being investigated, with the circumstances surrounding the incident not yet fully understood.
The vehicle had veered into the center median and then skidded across the roadway before leaving it and rolling multiple times. The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
