A donation of boulders to Kellus Turner Park was recently approved by commissioners. The boulders were given by Betsy Triplett Hurt, a local philanthropist.

The donated boulders originated from the Hurt family land and will be placed in the park with the help of Triplett Hurt and the county. This is not the first time boulders from the family land have been donated, as some were previously given to Wilson and Young Middle School.

Further details about the donation and other recent commissioner actions, including a withdrawn public hearing on a power plant project, can be found through the Odessa American.
